Goal Setting Session

We want to hear your personal story, find out what you want to achieve and why, and figure out what's prevented you from achieving or maintaining your goals before. Everyone's story is different and there are no set plans that work for everyone, so we feel it's important to find out exactly what makes you tick.

Personalised Nutrition Plan

You'll receive a nutrition guide and meal plan, designed to help you achieve your goals, and a Primal cook book packed with healthy recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your coach will regularly check your food diary to make sure you're staying on plan and help you set new habits to make your changes sustainable.

Final Assessment

At the end of your trial, you'll have a catch up with your coach to see how much progress you made. We'll re-test your body metrics, movement and performance and talk about any obstacles you might be facing, then you can decide if you want to move onto the next stage of your programme.

Advanced Assessment

Including body metrics (body fat %, fat mass, muscle mass), posture analysis, functional movement screening to identify any weaknesses, performance test to help you set benchmarks for improvement and lifestyle assessment looking at stress levels, sleep patterns, eating habits and food choices.

Training Sessions

You will have an allowance of THREE training sessions per week for four weeks (12 sessions in total). You can choose from a timetable of more than 30 sessions, including mornings, lunchtimes, evenings & weekends. Your SGPT sessions will be led by a Primal Coach, and shared by up to five other clients, each with their own programme.

Free Gym Membership

Primal SGPT includes free unlimited gym membership (normally £95 per month) so you will also have full access to all Primal Classes (Conditioning, Strength, Power, Core, Boxing Conditioning & Pilates), all Primal clubs (e.g. Boxing, Calisthenics, Powerlifting) and full use of the facilities, including the sauna!

Personalised Programme

Following your assessment, we will create a fitness programme tailored to you. This can include cardio, resistance and strength training, mobilisations, stretching and corrective exercises and advice on what to do between your sessions - whatever you need to start making progress towards your goals.

During your trial, you will get access to the Primal SGPT Facebook group, where clients can ask the coaches questions, share recipe ideas and moments of success or weakness. With small group personal training at Primal Gym, you get all the benefits of 1-2-1 PT with the added camaraderie and accountability that comes from working with others. The investment for Primal's four week SGPT trial is just £195 and that includes full gym membership with unlimited access to all our standard classes, clubs and bootcamps (normally £95 per month). We don't sell PT 'by the session' at Primal, but if you're "doing the math" that's just £16.25 per session! We challenge you to find personal training of this standard cheaper in Leeds.

What kind of results can I expect to get in 4 weeks?

Everyone is different so everyone's results will vary. Just as there are no one-size-fits-all programmes, there are no one-size-fits-all results. The amount of progress you make will depend on your starting point, your mindset and how well you stick to the plan, but absolutely everyone can get great results, if they follow our advice.

When are the sessions? And how do I book them?

We have more than 30 SGPT sessions on our weekly timetable, including mornings, lunchtimes, several each evening and weekends as well, so no matter how crazy your schedule is, you should be able to find three you can attend. You book into the sessions just like a class, using the Primal Gym app or online timetable.

Why will this work for me when nothing else has?

The main reason most people fail to reach their goals is because they don't stick to the plan and that's usually because it's boring (e.g. running on treadmills) or unsustainable (e.g. eating nothing but celery). At Primal, your training will be fun, engaging and varied and you will gradually adopt new healthy habits, making them a permanent part of your lifestyle.

I'm very unfit! Will I be out of depth in the sessions?

Everyone in your sessions will have their own programme. Some will be working on muscle gain, others on fat loss, some just on movement and rehabilitation. So the only person you'll be competing with is yourself. We also have a wide range of clients of all ages and ability levels so you will never be the "odd one out"!

What do the sessions consist of?

Each session starts with group mobilisations, stretching and warm ups. Following that, you will work through the exercises in your personal programme, while your Coach moves round the group making sure everyone knows what they're doing and is using correct form. We'll finish up with a group conditioning circuit so you can all work up a sweat together!

Do I have to start with a one month trial?

Not at all. If you're ready to commit to a 6 or 12 month contract you're very welcome to do so. Contract prices also start at £195 per month, so it's the same price as the trial. We simply offer the one month trial option for those who want to make sure it works for them, before making a longer commitment.
